SW19

This is a little off topic but hopefully there are some other tennis fans reading this. I am obsessed with tennis, and my favourite time of year is the two weeks in which Wimbledon falls. I have been lucky enough to go to the tournament for the last couple of years, and here is a photo summary of my day yesterday.

It began with an early start and a long walk to go and sit in a queue for 4 hours. Despite arriving so early there were still 6900+ people in front of us. It was also one of the hottest days, so it was a real test of stamina and commitment!
This picture doesn't do any justice to how long the queue was!
But it was all worth it once we got to the Aorangi practice courts and spotted my idol Rafael Nadal practicing! I absolutely adore him, not only is he insanely talented but he is also very nice and humble.
And I even got my ticket signed by him!
Rafa and his team (l-r: Rafa, Uncle Toni, his doctor, Rafel Maymo)
The queues for all the courts were so long and the heat was pretty unbearable so we only really watched a bit of a doubles match between Tommy Robredo and Marcel Granollers (ESP) v Ram and Knowle. I don't think I had seen a doubles match live before, so it was nice to finally watch one.
Centre court!
And this is from the weekend, a delicious meal - cod goujons followed by chocolate fondant. My friend had the creme brulee which was soo good.

Chanel 01

Chanel Fall 2001

I'm feeling pretty uninspired at the moment, so I have been searching live journal communities in search of the elusive 'inspiration'. I managed to find these stunning ads. It is no secret that I adore Chanel and Karl, and these shots show that he is a talented photographer. I love the inclusion of the landscape shots.
I really recommend joining live journal purely to look at these two communities, they provide editorials and ads galore:
Style Registry and Noir Facade. Happy hunting!

*nom*

Laduree may do some of the best macarons but their tarts should not be forgotten, they are absolutely amazing. I had this Tarte Passion Framboises, and it is the most delicious thing ever. The tarte citron is also perfection (honestly, I did only have one!) I really wish you could buy the plates. Oh also - Laduree french fries are definitely worth trying, surprisingly good!

Neon

garance dore / style.com

This is probably a passing interest, but at the moment I am liking the idea of fluorescent colours. It should only be a 'pop' in the form of a bag, a dress with simple sandals and a tan, or a cardigan. This Celine neon yellow bag is to die for.

Has anyone else liking a trend they never thought they would?

J.Crew

I love, love, love J. Crew. These are screencaps from a cute little video thats on their site at the moment. The styling is always spot on. Until they decide to open up a shop here I guess I will have to satisfy myself with net-a-porter's offerings!

Rolling London

I took this on the move through a cab window so it's not exactly great quality. No matter how much of the world I see, this will always be the best view.

Panama

The insanely gorgeous Karmen Pedaru modelling for madewell. Total hat, hair/everything envy.

Long

One of the FW 10 shows that stood out for me was Marc Jacobs. Usually I tend to prefer the M by MJ shows, and find the mainline slightly unwearable. However this collection is the definition of 'wearable'. I have always been a mini skirt person but these looks are opening my mind to a world of longer skirt possibilities. I particuarly love the outfit with the sequin cardigan, it has an air of understated elegance and proves that being covered up doesn't automatically mean you can't look eye catching.

Side note - I'm just playing with the layout, so it's a work in progress. I think it looks a bit neater :) Let me know what you think.

Inspiration

Just a quick post of the things that are inspiring me lately. Eniko's hair, Diane Kruger's beauty, Marie Claire Italia editorials, Sasha in The Row, and Stella McCartney resort.

9 Cities, 1 Post

It has been almost a year since I spent a month traveling around central and eastern Europe, something I was so fortunate to be able to do, and it was an experience I will never forget. It was quite a feat to condense almost 1 thousand pictures into 9!

Rome, Venice, Vienna, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik

Daria+Prada

I'm not sure where this editorial is from, but I discovered it yesterday and I love how these Prada pieces look in print. Daria looks stunning and the colours work well without being too overwhelming, and look great against brown hair.

On an unrelated note, I want to know if there is anything you want to see on this blog, or anything I should work on. Your input would be much appreciated!
